What makes Lady Hamilton Hotel unique?
Lady Hamilton Hotel is a family-owned boutique hotel inspired by Swedish history and tradition, located in the heart of Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s historic Old Town. Named after Lady Emma Hamilton, a prominent figure of the late 18th century closely connected to Admiral Lord Nelson, the hotel reflects a sense of historical romance and heritage. The interiors feature an extensive collection of Swedish antiques, traditional furnishings and historical artifacts, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere that reflects Sweden’s cultural heritage. During the autumn and winter season, Lady Hamilton hosts a popular Afternoon Tea served on weekends from October to March, offering a traditional and cozy experience in a historic setting. Lady Hamilton Hotel is part of The Collector’s Hotels, a family-owned collection of boutique hotels in Gamla Stan that also includes Victory Hotel and Lord Nelson Hotel, all located within a short walking distance of each other.
Do you offer connecting rooms or family rooms?
Lady Hamilton Hotel does not offer connecting rooms. However, several room types are suitable for families or small groups. Our Courtyard Triple Room can accommodate up to three guests, and our Courtyard Family Room can accommodate up to four guests. Guests are also welcome to book multiple rooms, and we will do our best to allocate them close to each other whenever possible. Additional family options are available at our sister properties Victory Hotel and Lord Nelson Hotel, located just a short walk away.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is until 12:00.
For the apartments, check-in is from 16:00.
What type of breakfast do you serve?
We offer a breakfast buffet with a selection of hot and cold dishes, including cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bread, yoghurt, cereals and fresh fruit, as well as coffee, tea and juice. Breakfast is served 07:00–10:00 daily. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, as well as lactose-free and gluten-free alternatives on request.
Do you serve Afternoon Tea and what is the cost?
At Lady Hamilton Hotel we serve a traditional Afternoon Tea in a romantic setting in the heart of Gamla Stan. It is served at the table on a three-tier cake stand and includes freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches and sweets. Tea is served in a teapot at the table. Afternoon Tea is served on weekends from October to March. Prices: Afternoon Tea – 349 SEK per person

Does the hotel have a restaurant?
Bistro Emma is a seasonal restaurant open from 1 May to 30 September, serving Swedish classics and seasonal dishes. Our sister hotel Victory Hotel, located just a few minutes away, is home to Leijontornet, an ultra-vinous restaurant and wine bar created by chef Daniel Crespi. The restaurant is a destination for food and wine lovers, known for its extensive wine list with over a hundred wines served by the glass and a cellar featuring more than 3,000 different labels.
Can non-hotel guests visit the restaurant?
Both Bistro Emma and Leijontornet welcome hotel guests as well as external visitors. Due to the limited number of seats at Leijontornet, we strongly recommend reserving a table well in advance.
Is coffee or tea available at the hotel?
Complimentary coffee and tea are available for our guests at the front desk at any time.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes, we are happy to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out for a few hours. If you need luggage storage for a longer period, our reception team can recommend nearby services such as the Nannybag luggage storage at Gamla Stans Cykel on Lilla Nygatan 10.
Do you offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Air conditioning is available in all rooms on the 4th floor.
Do you have a sauna?
Yes, a sauna is available in our relaxation area. Private time slots can be booked for 1.5 hours at a cost of 150 SEK per person. Reservations can be made at the reception.
Are dogs allowed at the hotel?
Pets are currently not allowed at the hotel. However, certified service dogs are welcome.
Is there an elevator in the hotel?
Yes, all hotel rooms can be reached by elevator. Please note that a few stairs are required to reach the apartments.
Is the hotel non-smoking?
Yes, the hotel is entirely non-smoking.
Do you accept cash payments?
No, the hotel is cash-free. We accept major credit and debit cards.
Is the hotel environmentally certified?
Yes, the hotel is certified by Green Key, an international eco-label for sustainable tourism.
How far is the hotel from the metro?
The nearest metro station is Gamla Stan, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
How far is the hotel from Stockholm Central Station?
Stockholm Central Station is located approximately 1.5 km from the hotel. It takes about 15–20 minutes to walk, or a short metro ride.
How do I get to the hotel from Arlanda Airport?
Arlanda Airport is located about 40 km from the hotel. Guests can travel by Arlanda Express to Stockholm Central Station, by airport bus or by taxi.
Is the hotel accessible by car?
The hotel is located in Gamla Stan (Stockholm’s Old Town) where car access is restricted. Guests arriving by car may need to park outside the Old Town and walk the last part to the hotel.
Is parking available at the hotel?
The hotel does not have its own parking. We recommend the Gallerian parking garage, located about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, as it offers 24-hour parking. Parking options in Gamla Stan and Riddarholmen are very limited.
Do you host groups, conferences or private events?
We can accommodate smaller groups, conferences and private events.
For larger groups and events, our sister hotel Victory Hotel and the restaurant Leijontornet can host private dining, conferences and special events.
What happens if I forget something at the hotel?
If you believe you have left something behind, please contact our reception team and we will do our best to assist you. If the item is found, we can arrange shipping at the guest’s expense.
