Lord Nelson was born in Burnham Thorpe in 1758 and, even though he was a sickly child, he went out to sea at only 13 years old. There is a small collection of beautiful paintings depicting ships and the sea. Lord Nelson’s home can also be seen in the ship valve on the wall.
